The Blissful Retreat

After 15 years in the wellness industry, Christy Morgan has started a new chapter. The Blissful Retreat was created to be a sanctuary for those looking to retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. We are in the countryside and live a slow food life growing edible plants right in the backyard. It’s a place where you can learn about eating healthfully, vegan cooking, yoga & fitness for all ages and bodies, and how to live a blissful life. Or you can come stay at the only vegan bed and breakfast in the area and unwind at our place. We look forward to welcoming you to sunny Portugal!

The Blissful Retreat offers unique, affordable retreat experiences in beautiful Portugal. You’ll find our retreats are a step above the rest where you get more value for your money. Our retreats serve nourishing plant-based meals along with your transformational experience. You can also book a room for our bed and breakfast option if you don’t want to do a wellness retreat.

Your Guide

Christy Morgan has been tantalizing taste buds for over 15 years as a natural foods chef, cooking instructor, cookbook author, yoga teacher and fitness coach. Her mission is to help others find their bliss with amazing food and retreats that offer yoga and fitness for ALL bodies. After leading five retreats across the world and living in Europe for two years, she moved to Portugal to create her own retreat space and vegan bed & breakfast. Mind Body Connection

Christy’s methodology to mind/body connection, movement and fitness is practical and easy to navigate. She is all about doing what feels good and teaching others how to incorporate movement – they actually enjoy – into their everyday life. You won’t find any chanting in our yoga classes, but we do incorporate some spiritual teachings in our practice. Our fitness classes accommodate all fitness levels so you never fill left out of the workout. We try to be very inclusive at the Blissful Retreat.

Nourishing Vegan Food

Since Christy is an 18-year vegan and natural foods chef, cooking instructor and cookbook author, we can guarantee that you are going to love the food during your retreat or stay with us. We use wholesome plant-based ingredients, organic produce when possible, and fruit and veggies from our own or neighbors garden. We can easily accommodate gluten-free, nut-free, or any other allergens you need to avoid. Just let us know when you book.
